Why Training Fades and Why On-going Training Matters

Dogs are not good at generalising skills. Generalising means transferring skills from one situation to another. An example: they may sit for you but not sit for the kids. Your dog may walk beautifully for your partner but pull you down the street. They have a great relaxed nature at home but you take them on holiday and they can’t cope when you leave them to go out.
